Nick Pasquale, AHS ‘09 deals an eight-inning, one-hit gem to send his Double AA team into the Eastern League Finals
Eastern League Finals Game 1 is scheduled for Tuesday, September 20
Nick Pasquale, a 2009 Antioch High School graduate, now with the Cleveland Indian’s minor league Double-A Rubber Ducks, recently pitched an eight-inning, one-hit gem to send his team into the Eastern League Finals with a 1-0 win Curve at Canal Park in Akron, Ohio. “It was one of the best pitched games that I’ve ever watched, Minor Leagues, Major Leagues, playoffs, regular season it doesn’t matter,” Akron manager Dave Wallace said. “It was really impressive what Nick and Brandon (the Rubber Duck’s reliever) were able to do out there.”
The Rubber Duck’s will meet Trenton, in the Eastern League Finals. Game 1 is scheduled for Tuesday, September 20 at Canal Park. The Rubber Ducks took their season series with the Thunder, 8-6, including a three-game sweep in New Jersey in August. “It’s going to be a real fun series. It’s been fun playing them all season,” Wallace said. “They are a solid team with some really solid arms, not just in the rotation but in the bullpen as well. They’ve got a dangerous lineup with some speed and some power and they’re really well coached. I’m not surprised to see them in the Finals.”
